I see decay and transformation as processes that reveal hidden connections between time, memory, and the natural world. Working across textiles, scent, sound, video, and sculpture, I am interested how materials and bodies evolve, weather, and change.
This focus on transformation grew from personal experiences. After my grandmother’s passing I volunteered in nursing homes, where I was seeing how physical and sensory changes—such as the fading of memory or the breakdown of objects—mark the passage of time. This is where I started to notice the cycles of decay and renewal, particularly how they manifest both in human lives and in natural systems.
My works cover a broad sensory range to accommodate diverse audiences. As a parent of a neurodivergent son, I prioritize inclusivity, using art to bridge barriers to understanding—whether they arise from sensory differences, geopolitical tensions, linguistic diversity, or cultural identity.
I am an interdisciplinary artist born in St. Petersburg, Russia and currently residing in the UK under Global Talent visa. Became a full-time artist in 2020 after a career in another field.
