The Anxiety Installation explores how we perceive smells subjectively, emphasizing the border between what's pleasant and what's not. It features scents that hover between these two categories, creating a subtle feeling that something isn't quite right.
The artwork uses everyday smells, diluted until they're unrecognizable, and enhanced with perfume components. This process leaves visitors with a familiar scent, yet they can't quite pinpoint what it is.
